I'm just after something fairly quite thats not going to fall off (like the standard one just has!) Are the BTB systems worth the money? There site shows them at £549. They do look very good quality though. Ive heard bad things about the ktec being too loud at motorway speeds, and problems...

1) I know the pulley holding tool is needed but is it purely for holding the pulleys in place while you undo them? 2) i'll be changing the dephaser pulley at the same time as belt kit etc and wanted to know if its keywayed at all ie, does it go in any position or does it only go on one way?

as above really, i just know the parts place is going to ask me when i phone up to order them.

Hello Thought id start one of these for my cup as it needs some work to bring it back to its former glory and id like to keep track of it. So i bought the car at the start of July after seeing it on Pistonheads. It was up for £1650 ono but needed some body work doing and didn't have service...

I know these are different in length, my question is, is the extra length in the actual shaft itself or in the outer CV joint? i.e, would i be able to fit a cup CV joint to the end of a normal 172 shaft and would it fit correctly?
