if it is the cam belt surely there would be a noise off the chain that drives the crank shaft. there is no unusual noises or anything

is it different in a mk1 clio

well on any other car if the cambelt had gone the valves would go down and the pistons would come up then they would meet in the middle and there would be a crunch then a bang

the temp was fine when it cut out

its still turning over

this car is in mint condition and has never had any problems or any garage work done to it so its a bit annoying the fact that it just happened. lauraxx

hopefully someone can help me! i was driving home earlier and my clio started to slow down then eventually to a stop. it brokedown in the middle of the tay road bridge which wasnt handy. still cant get it started, its definately not the battery or the obvious petrol. its like there is not...
