Haha @CallyTeee was on holiday so had to make a choice between the R or clio. Everything is for sale but you might want to be quick cause i'm taking it up north and putting into storage to use when i'm up.
Sorry for the lack of updates, been very busy and not done much to the Clio recently apart from attend the Scottish car show. Here is a few snaps borrowed from Facebook:
Washed the Recaro's last weekend, but more importantly added some Recaro decals in yellow - properly not to everyones taste but I may change to white decals to keep it more original.
Thanks Cookson, really appreciate it but yes looking at the image from Knockhill again and that flamer, you're on to something there mate.
Hehe, it's so responsive this 182 - miles ahead of my last AB so that doesn't sound surprising. I still have the Fatty style induction set up, yes. I will...
Sweet, yes it was some day at Knockhill. The clios were certainly out in force! Wee typo from my last comment above, 'might' not 'mind' :)
They are Recaro Trendlines, Dan.
Lol sorry Dan, I thought you mind have gotten worried after the first sentence - my bad.:smiley: Car is superb in every way except the driver, took for a little run today as the weather is nice - didn't miss a beat as usual around the local B roads.
Very true sj, it's really not as bad...
Not all my updates are going to be positive i'm afraid. For the first time in my 10 years driving I have kerbed a wheel (not the end of the world I know) but what makes it even more frustrating was I just got them powder coated a matter of weeks ago. As these things are it was so avoidable...
Amazing Dan, interesting info that. Getting asked it a lot.
Really need Recaros, cause i'm on the taller side and I guess... They look pretty good as well (just trying to justify them :0 )
Thanks, yeh spacers fitted but I really couldn't say for sure size and camber, Dan could shed some light on that one though. Latest mod - Recaro seats! Will hopefully get them fitted over the Bank Holiday.
 :tongueout: really can't see me selling this, the smiles per mile is just insane. Took to Knockhill (didn't go on track) yesterday and on the b roads there, it just comes alive - seriously didn't want to stop driving.
Had some colourful clio friends turn up when I returned to the car...
Cheers, really appreciate it troops! Splitter just finishes it off nicely Dan - so pleased with the look now and as a bonus tonight - Auto Finesse have the picture above on their Facebook page at the moment lol.
Managed to capture a few images of the alloys close up in different light:
Found it a little tricky with the new DSLR lens but they look the part, hope you guys dont mind another front shot - properly my favourite so far of the car.
Still interested it's just i've got the Leon going onto the Dubside stand, but might get the old man to drive that and I take the clio in.. Put me down for Car/Driver only for the moment.
:) Thanks Jesus, loving your regi too:up:
Haha thanks, even got to the level of feeling bad when the mats get a little dirt on them after remembering how spotless they were when I picked up. On the alloy front, yep will do this weekend - the weather is looking very nice indeed.
Managed to source a really cheap PH1 172 airbox with all clips intact, only downside is a few bad marks on it - which you will properly see from the bay image below. Definitely makes the drives around the town more subtle over the fatty induction, no doubt that will go back on at some point...
Thanks mate, not based near Crail - i'm over on the west.. But the B roads around Crail + the clio is just jaw dropping.
13 seconds is just incredible all the same bud, always see the Crail starter pack on Facebook: 7R or S3 + an Apr map lol! In saying that quite fancy a DSG S3 now to replace...
Thanks Gally, much appreciated - had quite a few wheels done by these guys and they do a really good job. Should have it back tomorrow for an update on that. :)
Least I know the brake lights work eh..
But seriously Omg lol! I actually remember looking into the rear view mirror at your Lapiz...
Local company to me mate, would rather not say over the general net. Can give you a wee pm though, I have used them before for the Leon and they are spot on.
Thanks chaps :) I think the diamond is wrapped black, in all honesty not even looked at it but for the oem+ look it's properly best to get it back to original. Forgot to add earlier, its going in for alloy refurb tomorrow!
