So wasn't the clutch cable, didn't know the clutch was hydraulic :grimacing: Ended up replacing full clutch kit and slave cylinder :expressionless: The car feels brand new now though
Hi all, so I type this as I sit waiting at a stop street for mates to come tow me. Feels to me like my clutch cable snapped, the clutch suddenly is no longer. Does anyone have any guides on how to replace it? Thanks! Chad.
Hey guys!
So the Clio love started in 2012 with this bad boy, Clio MK2 1.4 Alize:
Then I moved on to this bad boy, a Clio MK3 1.4 Expression, the thread can be seen here (http://www.cliosport.net/threads/chads-mk3-1-4-non-sport.751877/#post-10657413):
I couldn't resist making the inevitable...
Went over to Ireland in December with my girlfriend. Was a definite great trip!
I brought back on the plane an arm rest bought from Mick's Garage in Dublin, the only problem when I got back to South Africa is that the bottom part of the unit was for a Clio 2 :(
Needless to worry, I decided to...
Ok so been quiet lately, my bad!
I came upon this after much forum trolling, if only I knew sooner that I could add an Aux cable to my Clio's stock head unit...
I couldn't get the official cable from Renault and didn't feel like searching about for one so made my own with a couple of crimps...
Hi all, please help! :)
I haven't taken it in to Renault as there is a R 875 diagnostic charge
When the car starts, it runs perfectly so I'm guessing the problem can't be to do with sparks, coils, fuel pump or filter?
When it refuses to start, a push start does get it starting; does that...
Hey guys,
Started having intermittent starting problems with my Clio. There's no real pattern that I can see so far, starts sometimes when hots, starts sometimes when cold, sometimes even starts after waiting 30 minutes and trying again.
The engine turns but just doesn't catch.
I took out...
Yeah just the tip, had to replace my silencer and remove the first catalytic converter after a little bit of fun in Lydenburg potholes coming back from Kruger haha :D
Hey quue, there are universal stalk adapters that you can get from local radio fitment centres, they're just very expensive, I think your looking at around R1200, it will scan the car model and the radio make and all will be sorted.
Let me know if you come right, I'm also looking at changing...
Hey great to have someone to relate to from Jozi!
Yeah that's what I've found too, love the information on the forum, these guys know everything there is to know about clios!
I added the exhaust tip earlier this year at Supaquick, set me back R400 but I had to cut my bumper a bit more as it...
Sorry for the late post, here's me adding reverse sensors. I managed to get them for pretty cheap and didn't take long to do either!

Hi all!
So after a long morning turned afternoon here's what I managed to get done.
Was it worth it? Maybe not... I'm probably going to just peel it off after a few weeks cause it really isn't for the long term.
I do definitely like the look it gives the car so will be thinking about putting...
Haha cool enjoy the painting! [emoji106] I ended up not using the gloss in the end and ran out of paint for the stripes on the roof [emoji51] I think I'm going to get it done properly in vinyl though if I get used to it these next few weeks
Yeah let's see hey! I'm also going to go for a preval spray system where you add the paint at the bottom in a bottle and the aerosol can then sucks the paint. I believe the nozzle on the standard can isn't too great [emoji16]. I'll definitely put pics up, here's to hoping it goes well [emoji41]
I'm going to have a bash at plasti dip stripes in white, if I don't like them then I'll peel them off. Otherwise, I might then consider proper fitment in vinyl.
Hey roryb thanks for the reply! I was actually looking at your thread yesterday, really epic car you have there!
I'll definitely try a light coat first, I think I'm just going to have to remove the masking tape each time so it doesn't all dry and peel off with the tape. I also got a gloss can...
Hey all! Thinking of popping on some plasti dip stripes this weekend in white, liking the sound of Gordini type stripes. Anyone had a bash at plasti dip stripes before?
Decided to paint the calipers and drums blue.
Started off with a mini service, new plugs and air filter. The ignition coils were a bit of a mission to take out at first, but having the right tools helped the second time.
Jacked up the car (had no axle stands so used bricks as a back-up)...
