The alternator power cables are known for snapping (big red one bolted to the side of the alternator) and the alternators are notorious for giving up all together.
Yeah mines on 110k feels brand new 😊. I just feel in a few years if I want to get hold of a good example I'll be paying more than my current one owes me.
I suppose they will be rising as the rarity increases but at what rate is anyone's guess, iv had so many cars 40 plus but right now iv got got a clio 182 FF (my second 182) and a blobeye impreza they are the best all round cars iv ever had both are good standard examples,Im renovating my house...
That's true the gap between the good and bad has increased but the cheap ones aren't as cheap as they have been. I have been considering selling my 182FF but I'm thinking I might just stick it in the garage with my impreza for what it owes me.
Nice to get different opinions on it.
Just looking though some for sale ad's and noticed they seam to be demanding more on one that 12 months ago, I know some are overly priced by dealers etc. But the average price seams to have rose are they all being dragged up by the trophy's future classic status and there hi price?
Looking for a cheap set of roof bars that are easy to take on and off, just for picking up diy bits and pieces for doing my house up nothing to heavy. They are to fit a clio 182.
Any recommendation of kits you've got or anyone getting rid of any?
The big red wire to the alternator has a good connection, as the ring connection looked rusty I undone the nut and in the process snapped the ring off so I cut back to good new wire and put a new connection on had sparks and reads 12v. The small thin wire at the bottom of the altornator what...
Clio 182 has been parked up for 12 months, after jump starting the car I had a 14volt reading off the battery but the electrics where playing up, so needed a new battery, new battery on and the STOP and battery light are on even from start up but it drove fine only about a 6 mile journey. The...
New battary sorted it all out apart from now the battary and stop light are on? Multi meter reads 14v when car is running so I'm guessing alternator is doing its job
Hi all iv been a member in the past with my old 182 FF. Anyway I have been lusting after another as a daily again as iv bought a house and need cheap fun. A friend of a friend was selling a arctic blue 182 FF with good history and it was cheap... PERFECT so iv bought it,
But it has been stood...
This morning turn the wipers on but the only went half way, well the passengers side went right up, and off the screen. when i use the wiper controls it still makes the noise but non of the wipers move I can move them by hand easily and they move separately to each other
??? Any ideas
Going to order a machine polisher and some megs 83 to remove some swirls I will also use megs gold liquid wax (can this be used on a machine polisher or just by hand?)
my freinds core plug blew out after just 20 miles of reasonable driving on his 182 with cup packs. is this a common fault?? Once fixed is it likely to happen again?? would anyone recommend a anti freeze to prevent this?? Anybody know how to put a new one on properly??
All the otherwise 182 iv seen with standard exhasts stick out about half an inch from the bumper can you adjust this as I think it looks better out and all polished up.
I like my standard exhaust and would like the 98 map with a bit of overrun put in as well, which rs tuning said they can do or will the standard exhaust muffle the overrun to much? any body done this?
also i know induction kits do nothing for standard 182s but is it worth putting one on before...
