If you're not short of money go for the stainless steel. ;) It's £70 more but it worth it. Stainless sound better and I have a friend who bought a mild steel one 3 years ago and having many rust now.

To begin with film cameras I think one with a built-in meter would be better.

Go for a Nikon FM(2)/FE(2) or an Olympus OM-2(n). They're cheap and reliable cameras with built-in meter. Batteries (LR44) can be found anywhere and many lenses on the market. You have to check the foams on the back door surrounding, if they're worn out your film will be ruined.
