Mines black and you see alot of em in London / Essex that are the same colour. My Mum had one in what you like british racing green, very nice.

Ive got an 02 model but doesnt have that problem... but it does have others. It the noise dont happen when ur revving at 1000rpm with the bonnet open maybe its just something thats catching when u close it... check to make sure theres nothing loose.
