that sounds normal mate it should go up to half way then the thermostat should open lowering the temp a bit.

where did u get the battery cover mate?

nahh wouldn't fit totally different top mount

you use a locking pin for the crank which goes in once you take out the blanking plug on the front of the block. then on the 2 blanking plugs on the left hand side of the head comes out and they should be lined up

the center section is after the lambda sensor so shouldn't make any difference

under the bonnet to the right and inside the passengers door

check the fuses and realys

nahh most clio 2 have it! just a bit that falls off

does the box say cobra on it?

because it was disconnected the fault may be stored and may have to be put out on diagnostic computer
