I've got a 58 plate white 197 cup with all the options other than climate. Very good car but I did pay over the odds and I've had a few issues with it, engine mounts and driveshafts being the main ones.

Stay clear of 'wonder wheels'. Took 6 weeks and had my mates car in on four seperate days just for an anthracite refurb.

I thought fiesta st's were poor because of the power. But after being in one I'm pretty impressed, they are quick and a lot of fun. Can't compare to a 182 as I have a 197. Not as fun as mine but still very good.

Try longlife, they make custom exhausts for decent prices. You can tell them how you want it to sound as well

It's true though, some of the old blokes in work reckon me exhaust sounds chavvy and its standard lol

Should be pretty easy to get fitted, don't think you need to weld them. Could be wrong. Not a fan of them either, would be pretty funny to see though

I know what your on about but that is not laying frame, it's not possible on coilovers if you want the car to move. It's not possible!!

Almost completly agree with you, Just a bunch of boring old men on here. your wrong about laying frame static though, if your laying frame your cars bottomed out so you can't move. Can only be done with bags or hydraulics.

On a 197 you'd just need to run a bit of stretch, no camber. At a guess on a 182 youll need stretch and camber, maybe 195/45 and a small bit of camber

Exactly mate, I've raced a Astra vxr in the wet and I was getting ahead. It just can't put the power down. My 197 can keep pace with most other hot hatches untill we get above 80

I did the same as you, very late 197 with all the options. Looks much better than the 200 :)

Pictures would help lol this is an example what I consider a good stance, obviously wouldn't be able to get the clio anywhere near as good as this

so you've seen one slammed 197 that looked crap? Doesn't mean mine will!! Can't stand slightly lowered cars with spacers, that's not stance and not to my liking. I asked how far you can wind spax coilovers down, 5 pages in and my question still isn't answered lol
