Mine is normally around 30-35...upto 40+ when on motorways.....untill some arse is right up me Clios bumper and bam......foot down....have some of that for ya tea...oh my god Im at 100!
Yeh thats what Im talking about Coco......once down theres no going back! Think Ill go for the smaller one inside the car this time...damage limitation if you like!
Good meeting you too Clellandmc.....and mat...cheers for the recommendation, Ill try that again when I can get round to ordering yet another one! LOL!!!
Should have got one of you lads to put it on at the meet on saturday...arh well at the next one maybe?!
Cheers
Not impressed with myself again......just bought my second Cliosport sticker, the large one for the outside and was almost there sticking it on the window......and suprise suprise managed to bolx it up!!! ARRHHHHH
Dont think Ill be buying another one some how....lol
Is it just me or are...
Id recommend you cut your losses and get a custom-made exhaust mate. The company I used are Longlife....would highly recommend them and it will be the last exhaust youll need to buy too! Additionally they sound amazing mate...
Ha ha..ok ok....let me see if we get anymore interest.....Ill speak with Haynes and see how many signatures it would take before they sat up and listened!
Hi all,
Just gauging how much interest there is in getting Haynes to sort out a manual for modding the new shape Clios, Mk1 and 2 phase 2, since they only sell one for the phase 1 clio. I did ask Haynes if they were going to produce a modding manual in the near future and theyve said...
Yeh I have a Mk1, superb cars and with the new wheels, wicked sounding exhaust and soon to have Eibach suspension, its alot of fun to drive!

I get a creaking sound from the steering at v.low speeds <5 mph.....basically whilst pulling away....is fine above that though....not sure what it is....
It does come with a hose to place close to the filter...Ive just used the two that were with the original...that said Im seriously considering just taking it off...placing the original back on and getting a better filter.
Think Ill have to agree with BenR....with the K&N induction kit I have on...initially on a cold engine the power delivery seems good....but after a while, especially in the low to mid range the power just doesnt seem to be there.....going to put the original one back on...and get a panel filter!
Ive got a K&N induction kit on my Cliosport.....and youre right it does sound fantastic. It also most certainly increases throttle response, but does cause one to burn petrol like its going out of fashion! That said, it is probably because Im constantly at 5000 rpm listening to that roar...
Yeh I am....Mk1 Cliosport 172. Michael, are these coil overs the adjustable suspension set up? Not up with all this jargon yet! Really just want to improve the handling...prevent body roll as much as possible....if I was to get the car lowered by 30-40 mm, could i still at a later date fit...
Think Ill go with a aftermarket suspension kit....either Eibach or Bilstein...not at all impressed with the current suspension set up....is the new 182 any better really? I agree totally with you Rich-D.....hardly ever chuck the car into a corner these days....
Can get the cup suspension (shocks and all) for around £220...going to look at aftermarket suspension upgrades tomorrow......have any of you altered your suspension set up.....not impressed with the current handling....just seems too sloppy for the car when cornering hard.....whats other peoples...
Im thinking of getting the Cup suspension (shocks and springs) and fitting it to my Cliosport MK1. However, Renault have stated that this suspension is incompatible with my Clio...is this the case....would I be best going for Koni, EiBachs, Bilstein?
I know the problem youre having. Basically (according to my local Renault garage) they ram the exsisting gear knob on....hence the reason why its so hard to get off. The best thing to do....I found....is to get a mole-rench (youll need virtually the largest grip diameter possible) secure that...
