UPDATE: SORN
I decided on 1 last drive (yesterday) for this year. That is now 4 years/summers on the road/track now. Still performing well.
I should probably service it before next summer, but thats 2026 me's problem.
Sounds like a sensible decision then (not that I expected it to be anything else).
Good that you got to bank some coin from the transaction - goes to show that building something yourself is more costly/poinltess
I totally missed these massive developments...
Shame to see the 172 go, but I totally get the feelings you had/have - I have been there.
Little surprised though that you have just basically replaced it like for like, do you think you just enjoy the build more?
UPDATE: Trackday
This week I had a belated trackday booked on the only day this summer that it rained. PERFECT.
I prepped the car over the past week with new tyres, a bolt check and a wipe over. The spares were packed the night before and I left the house at 6.30 for 7.30am arrival at Castle...
Another little venture out yesterday.
Business related this time with an introductory meeting with a potential new client.
It's great when work and play combine.
UPDATE:
The can had its MOT today. It was a PASS again with no real issue (apart from not starting on the rollers when it was to hot).
A couple tiny things for me to look at but again all good. Was good to be able to get underneath it and see how it is looking.
Seems to be keeping...
UPDATE:
Page 118 seems to be covering quite a few years and the posts are all basically the same. The car is taxed, the car is used, the car is sorn...
That is the basis of this post again. The car was taxed a couple of weeks ago and over the past couple of weekends has been taken to a couple...
Thank you both for the kind words, that is very kind.
The prints are created using a gilcee print process and are A3 sized on a high-quality 320gsm paper.
The cost of a custom print is £75 and this is printed and posted to your address.
You also receive the digital files.
Please send me a PM...
KIDS COLOURING IN
21ten has gone very quiet. I haven't pushed it as life has been busy, but I also think the market has completely changed with AI capabilities now.
I can of course still provide custom illustration/prints, and am more than happy to do so.
In the meantime however, my son has...
Well the car is still tucked up in the garage and I am still considering whether I should keep it or not.
In the meantime my son has really started getting into drawing cars and asked me the other day if I could draw him my car to colour in...
I happily obliged.
UPDATE:
The car is SORN again for Autumn/Winter. Again it doesn't feel like I have used it much this year so I will be having a serious think in this time with what will happen with it moving forward.
It was very cool washing it with him for the first time (before it got put away), something...
We had a sensible chat last week... and it wasn't reflective of this.
Something has changed, can you put your tampon back in so we can go back to the status of our previous conversation?
I totally agree that it is about opinions and I am open to discussion/debate on the price - as with most things, it is only worth what someone is willing to pay.
I think the items you list would indeed increase the value, and these items at 1 point were on my list to fit, but I am unsure if...
I totally agree it would be a shame, and that is why it is a difficult decision and I am so unsure... I really need to figure out if my heart is in it or not.
Do you mean like the trackdays I have 'actually' done the past 2 years?
I would not be 100% sure but I am aware that something very...
UPDATE:
Well there kind of isn't one.... and I guess that is the basis of this post...
The car hasn't seen much action this summer really. It has had a couple of spirited drives but that is about it. NO trackdays, despite having a voucher for Castle Combe, I just haven't used it... and it has...
UPDATE:
Got the car out over the weekend for a French focused meeting with Queens Square Breakfast Club.
Was a decent/nice drive, the sun was out and the car got a decent amount of attention and compliments.
UPDATE:
Taxed the clio this weekend and got it out for its first drive of the year. Headed over to Baffle Haus in Wales, a decent shakedown distance for the car.
Headed over with a mate on his bike.
All was well accept for 1 pin on the steering wheel connector loom so I need to look at...
Thank you for your kind words. I was taking a slightly longer way back home (Nailsea) after attending the Queens Square meet in Easter Compton.
I attended that first thing trying to make the most of this months tax before the car is potentially sorn at the end of the month.
The Queens Square...
UPDATE:
Well pretty much as the last really, which was not much.
The car is being used/kept up-together but did not do any trackday's this year.
Continuing to be careful with money at the moment until I am totally stable.
I have been enjoying the car a few times a month when the weather has...
It would have been great to come to CSF, a bloody long way to drive it up there, but some fun roads none the less...
However I have my son that weekend so there is no chance I will be doing that.
UPDATE:
Not really much of one really. The car is being used/kept up-together but so far has done no trackday's this year.
I have purposely not booked any trackdays as I am trying to be a little careful with money at the moment until I am totally stable. It means just enjoying the car a few...
