I had a 172 engine put in my 182 only last week. I have been told by many that the 172s are a stronger engine...I can't notice a great deal of power loss to be honest pal.
Putting new engine in the 182. Currently got both engines on the floor waiting to buy new exhaust manifold as the one I bought is a 172 manifold! Rookie error. Anyone got one sitting about for sale?
It's not a nice position to be in that for sure! I'm thinking rebuild head (but then you don't know what damage the valves have done) or replace the engine!
Anyone know how much would be to rebuild the engine?
