Its a little bit 'ghetto' but i had similar immobiliser issues last year, I ended up just buying an immobiliser bypass that goes into the diagnostics port under the ashtray. You open up your original key fob (as long as you still have the same engine/ecu as original) and there is a little code...
In fact now that I think back I did get a bearing noise similar to the wheel bearings when turning left at motorway speed, but now that its constantly loud it doesn't change volume anymore when I turn. I'll post a video of the O/S driveshaft to give an idea of the noise.
I didn't notice it until driving up the M1 to derby (100 odd miles) on friday @ 60mph the noise seemed to resonate louder but at other speeds it wasn't noticeable.
Drove back to London today so 200 miles give or take on the noise but it is now noticeably louder at more speeds, starts getting...
