Dave,
Does the disklok digs into the steering wheel at all? I meant would it scruff or deface the leather on the steering wheel in the long run?
Considering buying one you see...
Thanks.
Good luck, am sure you will love the 182.
Like you, I never had a Renault before my 182 and I used to drive a 205 GTi. So far I have found the experience very very enjoyable.
Well done matey!
Nick.
You shall find the four loops in the boot, with the 2 behind the rear bumper spaced much further apart than the opposite ones (behind the rear seats).
With SOME force, you should be able to really hook the net to all four of them, so that it ends up in a trapezium kind shape (kind of...
My post (1st link) should include most of the things that should arrive with the car in the first instance.
Another thing Id also suggest is that you have a look at the "Non Warranty Issues" mentioned within the AA pack. As it stands, you are not covered for tyre punctures, keys left in the...
0800 072 3372, I believe.
But Customer Service department is closed according to the recorded message, so dont expect any services from Renault on Sundays...
Agreed.
Thats what I went for, both Cup options (you will know the difference especially with the Cup wheels, didnt like them at first, but grown on me).
However, watch out when you park head on into a bay, as i nearly scraped the front splitter, coz it was rather low as my mate has pointed...
Cheers guys.
Not owned a Reno before, so expect more silly questions from moi.
Must admit, this is the closest thing I can find, that can match or even exceed my 205 GTi for FUN.
So glad I made the right choice over the Cooper S, so thank you to you all and ClioSport!
Now where do I go...
Spend the whole of yesterday driving around aimlessly but with a BIG smile on my face throughout the day. Great fun getting looks and flashes, even tailgated by some envious BMW drivers, but have to stick below 3500 revs for a while...
Happy to report that no teething problems and all the...
Hi Guys,
So that I am absolutely clear on this (bear with me, its my first new car).
This one touch feature is which I assume you click a rocker switch or some kind, so that the window closes completely, rather than you having to hold the down the button for ages until shut?
And vice versa...
Cheers leven.
Less worrying now that i know what it is. But i know what you mean, think Tom was missing his front splitter and had to wait about 6 weeks before it got delivered, so i will definately be on the look out for mine.
Such hassle for a small piece of plastic.
yes thats right underneath the car... that was a snipet from another thread.
just included here for completeness.
Gs, 8 weeks to go, glad that my waiting is finally over.
Funkyjahooner - just wanted to make sure, as I have read on this forum before, someones car were kept at the dealers for a long while as it failed the PDI check (so rather worried!).
Roll on Saturday, coz its Va Va Voom time...
Finally after 7 weeks of waiting, my 182 has arrived at the dealer and should be picking it up on Saturday (pending PDI check was told).
Since I have not owned a new car before and my first question would be, can someone explain what a PDI check is and how long does it usually take?
Also...
Does anyone remember the special green? Reno also has this with the Yellow that we have all seen to complement the 182.
So far no one has mentioned it and if you want to be special, then the green is the way forward Id say (not seen any examples tho!).
anyone got any screen shots?
Yes Dave, wasnt sure about this myself either, like you said its factory fit. So how have you find them so far ?
But the sales rep went to check with her manager about it, and came back with £200 (Cupped) and £130 (without cup bits). I was being extra careful in trying to cover all grounds...
Yes cant wait for the pictures.
Same as I have ordered too, and Nick I wasnt too sure on the wheels, but the Darker Grey do suit the Arctic blue more.
Have fun on Sunday.
Wow, thats a really good rate, Simo.
Just tried Renault online, quoting me £830 on the 182, so either you have the V6 locked up in a steel cage or Croydon has become notorious.
Not heard of greenlight before, but will give them a try badinvincible.
thanks guys, more searching...
Okay,
Direct Line quoted me £200 extra until August, based on these Cup extras. Which turns out to be £960 for the year come my next renewal.
Guess I have to ring round to find a better price from someone else, even Saxos got a decent quote from its on-line engine. Think Bell direct and...
Was wondering, who have you got your insurance with?
Just called up bell direct (still have 6 months left on my 205s policy with them) and they have never heard of the 182.
Even asked me if its an import, engine size etc... Worst case is, they are not treating these Cup packs as factory...
Oh the dealer had an extra option on their list when I ordered mine yesterday, something resembling special colours for £1,100.
So if you got that 1k spare, you can always go for that yellow, or that green (tho not quite remember what shade it is). Very bright and EXCLUSIVE ... for now ;)
Went for the Arctic Blue, but like yourself, I am still debating whether I should have the Black instead.
One thing I can tell you tho, its a nightmare trying to keep clean my dark met grey 205 all these years, so went for lighter colour this time.
How does dirt show up on yours Tom...
Agreed, tested a 182 on Sunday and the interrior looks just like the normal 172 they have in used section.
Bar the few subtle tweaks they have made to the engines, suspensions, etc. I can only assume the build quality is as equal as the 172.
Thats good to know, as I am making the similar jump to a 182.
Having tested the Cooper S, CTR and the ST170 (yeah I know...), must admit, only the 182 Cup gave me similar thrills that found in the Pug, and judging by the comments I have read, you cant do no wrong with the 172 Cup at all...
