I was under the impression that you could still order it from the stealers: part No. 7711229485. Having said that i have left numerous messages at several different dealers and none have ever got back to me so let me know which way you go and if the colour is any good!
Cheers guys....i didn't forget the spacer so don't worry about that. All in all a very easy job... apart from lining up the carrier but i won't make that mistake again.
As with all of these cars after, one job the immediate thought is "What's next?".
Right....so im changing the rear disks/pads at the moment and ive got the new disk on, new pads into the carrier fine and ive wound the piston back into the master cylinder.
HOWEVER, the pad carrier won't line up properly with the holes so i cant put it back on. Its like the pad on the outside...
IF it is an injector issue then changing one is not too hard, no. Use Renparts or the classified section on here. New injectors from renparts are something like 35 quid iirc and if i were you i'd get paid up as a member and search the guides or just the forum for advice so you can decide if it's...
I had the same problem on my 182 soon after I got it... Or similar anyway. Coil pack was fine, ht leads were fine, plugs were good too. Turned out to be a drippy injector on cylinder 2 although this was not picked up by a diagnostic, only the misfire was.
Before ordering new leads/coil...
Definitely swap those wheels off it in favour of turinis or 2118's! Could drop it onto some sportlines to give a better stance too but generally all that needs to be done has already been covered. As long as you're happy with it that's the main thing! Monaco's are certainly one of my fav...
Welcome! The Car is looking good.. but as above, definitely bin the induction kit in favor of standard air box or a decent induction set up. And loose those flaps too ;)
With cruise control set to 75 on a run 41-42 mpg is easily achievable but mixed driving normally returns around 35-38 mpg for me... which isn't bad for a car in this performance bracket!
cheers. i've been thinking an all in one might be the answer but i don't mind dedicating a bit of time to hand polishing to give a better finish, just need a good day (or two) for it! Got plenty of little jobs that need doing on the car so it's going to be a busy summer it seems... hopefully not...
Hi...Ok, so i've got my BG182 and want to treat it to some proper interior and exterior care :o! currently the paintwork is in average condition for age i'd say with some swirl marks and many minor scratches.
My question really is what products will i need for both the exterior and interior...
I have a spare set of leads so will also put these on when i change injector.
As for the flashing engine light warning of CAT damage.... it would make sense as the miss would cause unburnt fuel to combust in the cat, i hardly drove it on the miss, maybe 1 mile so hopefully any damage caused is...
The fault just came up as a misfire on cylinder 2, no injector fault reported, maybe its a very slight issue that over time will cause the misfire to develop over time as the plug gradually looses spa. I'll probably put in a new injector and hopefully this will solve the issue long-term although...
Nice one cheers for the reply mate. I was only a bit worried because the leads are only a few thousand miles old and this residue had only built up on the one lead on the section that goes down to the plug. With regard the injector I'll have to wait for the miss to resurface before I cant start...
Hi guys.... picked up my 182 on saturday and already i've had a problem!!
I've driven around 200 miles on it since i got it and on monday it developed this misfire with the flashing engine light and popping and banging from the exhaust at low engine speeds and after de-clutching. Turns...
Hi all...
Having been lurking on the forum for ages, reading project threads and everything else for that matter, I've finally got round to getting a 182 and i'm picking him/her/it up on Saturday! FF BG.
Completely standard apart from a scorpion exhaust, 2 prev owners, nice example from...
