Thanks pal. It’s not essential so I will give it a miss. I’m not going near trying to take the aluminium kick plate off. I replaced one a few years ago, mine are unmarked and I would end up distorting them to get them off to get to the screws. I’ve had the 7 underneath fasteners off and cleared...
Glad it all went ok and I was able to help with the new panel.
As you say once you fitted one once it’s easier the second time.
The only other advice I would give to anyone fitting a “used” one is change the bulbs.
It’s easier than discovering one doesn’t work after you’ve fitted it....I...
It’s sorted now. Seems the Insurer were concerned the car was being used on the road without MoT, I would have thought a quick check on the dvla site by them would have answered their concerns, it’s been sorned for many months !
its been referred back to the Insurer by Greenlight and as I’ve agreed not to drive it on the road unless it’s MOTd they are happy to Insure .......how ridiculous
No, it’s has to be insured and MOTD to be taxed but not the other way round. I have 5 motorcycles and a similar number of cars all SORNd some not MoTd and I’ve never had a problem before

It seems strange, I would have thought they would welcome the...

Doesn’t work anymore I’m afraid. They have clamped down and no longer send out keeper history just because it’s nice to have. It doesn’t fit in their reasons for supplying previous keeper info anymore
They weren’t factory fitted alarms Chris they were thatcham approved units retrofitted. The old scorpion alarms used the same mounts for the ultrasonics. There will be someone on here or the other forum who may be able to help. Renparts in Doncaster may be able to help

In all fairness it looks a lovely car and pound for pound isn’t that daft if you want a nice car to buy and store, maybe put a couple of hundred miles a year on it. (I’m selling it to myself)
I’m just not sure about the ad
New MOT rules coming into force in May will make it a major fail if HIDs are fitted into headlamps. Also the engine management light will be part of the MOT, if it’s lit it will be a major fail...
