Mine did exactly this at a track day after <1000 miles on the car.
They replaced it for free but it's not ideal! Luckily some french guys in the pit garage next door had just broken 2 whole 182's and had every single part in the back of a van. Gave me a standard dogbone for free!
Gary Spooner in Littlehampton is a helpful bloke, only works on Clios. Has just rebuilt a few turbo's that were poorly built. Prices are reasonable too.

Massive amounts leaking from drivers side of car, from the area behind the wheel well. Below the alternator area. The car has air con so access is even more restricted...
You might have air in the ABS pump as you stated, do have a thorough inspection of all unions and brake lines as you could also have a leak somewhere, which is letting pressure out of the system.
I had standard brembo pads and discs and they are more than adequate for road and even the occasional track day. (This was on a 200 Cup)
Even at Bedford which has a few big braking zones I had no brake fade or boiling of fluid, the 182 is lighter still so should be fine for your purposes mate.
Anyone got a part number for the Scenic shifter? There's none on eBay at the moment, might see if I can get one new from Renault.
And are the Stiff Shift kits still being produced and sold?
