okay if you want to compare “experience”.
It wasn’t an out an out comparison between a 7 minute lap time in a 911 and a 10 minute lap time in a 182.
It was a comparison between 2x 7 minute laps in a 911, and hooning a French hot hatch around a race track for a weekend.
Personally had some...
Rewind here, I was clearly comparing the cost of both. It’s probably a similar cost to buy a Clio, drive it, and sell it for the same price as 2 laps in a GT3. Was I comparing the out and out experience between lapping each? Nope.
But yeah cheers for your amazing insight.
2 laps in a GT3 is probably not far from the same as buying a cheap 182, driving it there and back with 10 laps in between and then selling it on 🤣
That’s my 2p.
I was thinking this the other day, never been interested in photography before, so I naively thought prices had kind of followed TVs over the years (no idea why) and you'd be able to pick a decent-brand entry level camera up for £200-odd. How mistaken I was! So I quickly went off the idea.
Of course. But still hurts to see it go, especially when my net worth is actively decreasing whilst I’m at work 😂
Probably going to hold until I break even, if that ever happens, then sell and invest it properly. Being a crypto bro ain’t for everyone.
Ah, just looked into it.
Chassis is now aluminium, compared to Titanium from last year... must softer material so maybe a new thicker but less durable coating that they didn't trial properly.
Was thinking of upgrading my 14 soon, but that's put me right off as I'm super anti-case. I'll...
Obviously hard to show on camera. But any of you wizards know how to get these imperfections out? If possible? Ignore the massive scratch lmao.
lots of small “dots” in the paint. I don’t even know what they are or how they’ve been created over the years. I’ve clayed it and now using...
Idk. Never understood the manual fascination.
Not sure why pushing your leg down and moving a gear stick is so much more involved, so much more rewarding and gives you so much extra car control over two flaps next to the wheel.
My opinion, anything over 250bhp I’d choose dual clutch. So yeah...
Yeah it's no brainer then tbh. Just super handy you can control what employees have access to which company websites without the need to share your actual password with them.
I don't know what the cost differences are though. Proably all do the same job but wouldn't be suprised if One...
Yeah they were a fair cheaper than AR1s, the rep gave me a better price over the phone, obviously wanted a sale and maybe felt sorry for me after I gave him the whole sob story I mentioned above 😂
But also didn’t have the life I was really hoping for, so maybe AR1s would still be the better...
Hahah superb spot!!
Yeah i got a little greedy there, I thought l was destined for the gravel for a second. But just straightened up to kill off any understeer or locking up and hoped for the best. Just about worked out 😂
I wondered if that one would make any of the highlights. Funny thing...
Grip from cold was superb, really surprised how fast I could chuck it in on the first corner.
Did start to wear by the 7th lap though. So started to get some understeer towards the end. But granted that's 7 full heat cycles rather than consistent laps. If I were to do any more laps I'd have...
Another successful ring trip completed. Not without major stresses though!
Had the Clio sent over to a "specialist" whilst I was abroad, to prep it ready for a 1200 mile round trip, but didn't really do much and let me down.
That meant when I picked the car up 3 days before I was supposed to...
Having a hard time starting the 182 intermittently. Sometimes The red light will stay solid and it won’t turn over, just clicks and dies, indicating immobiliser fault, tonight it constantly beeped and then the car actually started. Drove for a few meters and then the alarm went off whilst...
Is it worth clay barring before polishing?
The paintwork feels smooth so not particularly contaminated, but if I wanna do a real job on tidying up the paintwork, removing swirls and light scratches etc, will I see a benefit from it?
