Car's been in for 36K service today and MOT. Total cost £418 including:
Wrong oil - 10W40
Rear brake pads that the 1st phone call said were worn but were OK, 2nd phone call said car had failed MOT on brake pads.
Car wash that left windows scruffy and paint streaky.
The dealer also rang me...
Just nipped out of work for a crafty fag and spotted a black 197 driving up Melville Grove. Look much better in the flesh than the pics! Don't know if it's anyone here - too excited at seeing one to notice!
About 5:45 tonight, going south through the tunnel. Think it was a Trophy, ten cars ahead in the dark it was a difficult to tell. Reg was something like HASWELL.
Does anyone know if a VDO CHD-602 changer, originally fitted to a 2000 Clio will work with the original HU in a 182? All the info I can find on the changer talks about compatibility with Philips.
Im well p155ed off. Just been at the front of a 4 car shunt in crawling traffic. My back bumper doesnt sit properly now and the boot lid is all scratched. Im ok, but my babys not!

Somehow theres dried on cement on the inside of the front wheel arch, along the underside of the sill and splashes on the bottom of the drivers door. I suspect that its come from the building site next door to the local Renault dealers as the car has made three visits there in the past two...
and Im not best pleased!
Dropped the car off at 8am yesterday for 12K service and to fix the usual knock from the front engine mount.
3:30pm - phone call to say no knock can be heard. Explained in great detail what the knock was and how to re-align the mount to stop it.
4:pm phonecall to...
Im no expert on these matters, but why didnt reno put Run Flat tyres on the 182, rather than using those cans of cottage cheese? I personally have no intention of using the foam if I get a puncture - Ill be ringing for a mobile tyre repair..
I appreciate that the RF tyres have stiffer...
