Have a 1.4 clio and have recently thought it has slowed riggghhtt down but thought it was just in my head, yesterday however i had a "lil burn" with a friend in his 1.4 clio (he has a severe slippin clutch) n he beat me (private track) . . . a month or so ago i walked all over him :o anyway...
thanks for the replies, will just wire it up to 2 channels, alot easier. Dad just seemed to think it could be better the otherway but doubt thats even possible going by replies?
Just about to wire my second sub up to my 1 amp,
Is it best to run 2 subs off the bridged terminals of the amp or as 2 seperate things , i.e as 500watts bridged split to 2 subs or 250w x 2? thanks. hope this makes sense, is exactly what my dad just told me to ask lol
just been offered a small amp, its only 100w rms, my 6 x 9s are some pioneers, 220watt each i believe but that would be max? Would i need something a little more powerful that 100rms as the headunit would be giving around that surely? 50 to each 6 x 9?
have some 6 x 9s running off headunit, just used the standard wires used for the standard rear renault speakers, but they seem very quiet compared to over peoples 6 x 9s. just wondering if he would be the wiring or any other ideas?
sorry to interupt but you say theyll handle alot more . . how much more would you say as i have these subs but no amp yet? iv heard some people say around 500rms but wouldnt doubling the power just blow the sub right away?
isnt it £49.99 for the 12s, cos i got the 15s

currently have a 500watt wiring kit from my old 500watt amp but have just updated it all and made a boot install. Have 2 x 15inch JBL GT-4 subs and have an amp on order . . my dad says theres no point upgrading the wiring kit as it isnt worth it and that higher wattage wiring kits dont do...
ok been looking at amps, one im looking at will be 880w rms (4 x 220 rms), would that be better to run it at that and slightly under power the sub (avoid blowing it etc) or should i look around some more and find an amp with 2 x 250rms?? surely the difference in 30 rms wouldnt really be...
im a newbie to the world of ice but i have a few questions, iv just purchased 2 JBL gt4 15inch subs as seen at http://caraudiosecurity.com/catalog/product_info.php+products_id+1391http://caraudiosecurity.com/catalog/product_info.php+products_id+1391 (didnt pay that) and have been thinking of...

hmmm , get it serviced mate . . i did with my little rt awhile back as it was struggling to lose 1.1s and as it rolled out the garage it was sooo much quicker! was so shocked as to how much difference it made.
gotta decate on my rt and made it rev much better so imagine would be the same on the valver. . pulls harder on mine lower down . .
have you serviced your cat lately? that could be a good bet if not . .
oh and its the older VTRs that iv beaten , can pretty easily keep up with the newer...
sure ya gotta valver mate? lol but nah seriously, dont think thats right? ive gotta 1.4 rt and have beaten VTRs in that? and if not beaten kept up pretty easily?
i wont . . itll be a nice little blast up the motorway . . theres a nice straight stretch. he dont wanna do any corners yet as he is still getting used to the cornering and speed etc as he has come from a 1.1.
anyway . . will let ya all know.
i thought quiksilvers where meant ta be pretty rapid for what they are . . but then i know the 1.4 clios aint all that slow . . id say im a better driver than him tbh. been with him in his old car and he still even struggles with hill starts. might have to give it ago and see how i fair.
does anyone know what would be quicker in a straight line . . a 1.4 clio rt with de-cat + full system zorst or a standard 106 1.4 quiksilver? i ask this as my mates just got a 106 quiksilver and wants 2 race me . . wanna know what my odds are before i accept :)
i didnt know what forum to put...
