Have you tried polishing them to see if they improve at all? Appreciate it won't be a long term fix, but if you're selling it you may not be concerned.
Gus, apologies for my slow reply. Because I introduced one mod at a time, I phased the power in and so it wasn't such a large increase at once. However , each time I was surprised at what it did to the driving. When I first fitted the SM Inlet (the original group buy one) it was with the rstuner...
For reference, my 182 is making 201.5bhp with the following: SM Inlet, 197 cams, ramair filter, RS192 exhaust, de-restricted CAT, Engine Dynamics custom remap.
The dyno graph shows 3 lines with basic supporting mods; Lowest run at 179bhp with supporting mods and rstuner map, middle run at 190bhp...
I went from the MkV R32 to a 182. I thought the golf was boring in comparison, and not actually that quick. It did however feel more stable at speed, and certainly more refined, but I enjoy the feel and response of the 182. They're also cheap enough to take a punt.
Unfortunately I can't remember exactly, however I believe it's a 45 degree hose. I can get a protractor out if you'd like! ;) That's a good idea... I was thinking of getting a similar bit of rubber to the slam panel to create a more air tight seal between the hose and hole. See how that worked...
bloke, it has been mapped by Engine Dynamics with the new inlet, at 190bhp. Previously it was 178bhp with those mods (excluding new inlet)
@Trackslag172 let me know what you make!
Yeah pretty good for an engine on 92.5k. The ring! Are you ready for that!! Have some nice fresh sticky tyres at the ready? Sounds cool, let me know for sure.
@bloke 190bhp with the newer one. The car was 178bhp without SM Inlet. Other performance mods include- RS tuner 98, RS192 exhaust, ram...
At least it pays for the expensive car parts! I made 190bhp, will stick up a graph at some point! Drives very nicely, feels a fair bit faster. Haven't had a chance to properly give it some yet, as it was only mapped on Thursday, but hoping to get out today and whip around hanningfield!

Tim, hope you're well! I've just fitted mine as well. Had it rolling roaded at Engine Dynamics yesterday and Andy said because the injectors have a 4 spray pattern, you can run them at 180 degrees to how they normally sit. Therefore, I'm pretty sure mine were nearly pointing upwards when I took...
Sorry to hear this! Still one of teh cars on my list. Hopefully you'll get a reasonable settlement from the insurers. Who is it insured with? (Apologies if I missed that)
