Glad the valver still running well mate... Can't believe it's a year in April since you bought it off me!
Just left the job in Yeadon, that vid brings back memories of the drive in every morning!

PS - Troyds - nice, but £7 for nurks - wrong!
We've had summat from there for work... you can look at it one way - it's not brand new, or the other way, it's been back through Canon's factory, actually looked at by an engineer rather than just rolling off a production line, and is in top class working condition cos it's been looked at to...
ha ha - it's been well looked after, and I'll continue to do so. Hopefully should be OK! (Got breakdown cover with my insurance just in case tho...!)
Right - will look out for that then. Not really looked into any mods yet as it handles very well as standard anyway...
Cheers for all the...
Hey all,
Well, sold the Valver just under a month ago, to a very happy TopgearTom. It's been a bit of a wait, but finally got my new car - the previous owner had a private plate on it and I've had to wait for it to be re-registered, so just managed to pick it up on Saturday.
REALLY...
It's cleaned up a treat mate, looking really good.
Glad you've sorted the heater out so easily anyway - you'll be glad of that in the winter, I had to drive in gloves and 3 layers of clothes when it got cold!
If only I'd had a spare donor car kicking about I'd have swapped that out myself...
Here's one I put together a while ago... pics have now been moved, but I'll try edit it to show them again.
Hope it helps

You get 3 laps round with the instructor driving the Impreza (or Focus RS, whichever you get), 1st couple fairly slow to show you the racing lines etc, then the last lap he nails it which is quite scary as they know the track really well so boot the hell out of it round the corners! There's up...
lol yeah! I've never liked them, just think they look hideous, but after having a blast in one, I must admit they can shift!
It's a buzz being in one whilst the instructor's driving though, as he really knows the track and boots the hell out of it - kept banging my helmet on the roof (it was...
Definitely not! The guy was running me through the controls before we set off. It's a flappy paddle gearbox with auto option, so we kept it in auto (one less thing to concentrate on!) and he kept leaning over and dropping it a couple of gears with the flaps, then shouting 'nail it!' Welcome...
Yep, the Mrs bought me it for Christmas before last! I couldn't do last year so ended up booking it for summer this year. Glad the weather held off long enough or I think it'd have been cancelled.
Was amazing, was driving home in her Smart car after that - could barely tell the difference in...
Hey all,
have had the day booked for ages, but finally got to do it yesterday - driving a Lamborghini Gallardo!
There were 3 laps round the track with an instructor driving a Subaru Impreza Turbo to get used to the track, then 2 laps actually driving the Impreza yourself to get the racing...
£250 compulsory (+ the £50 voluntary) = £300
£50 windscreen
£200 Fire/theft
Feel a remortgage coming on!
Anyone else put ridiculous cars through for a laugh and been pleasantly surprised?!
Right - the missus is looking at getting a Lotus Elise, so I was putting through the details on Admiral's site to get an online quote. While picking the car out of the list I was in the L's obviously, and there was Lamborghini! So I thought, whilst I'm here, I'll put a quote through for me on a...
After a good pelt home from work, the bonnet tends to be a little on the warm side, so after 5 mins of parking up, this is what I see most nights during the winter!!!
(They are mine btw... otherwise - jetwash time!)
don't spose anyone's got a step by step how to on this have they?
It's one of those things that seems to go very often and if it's only £30-£40 for the fix, it's better than the £60-£70 that the garage charge just for the bearing...
cheers

Hey Pat,
yeah, they're 17's - were on when I bought it so never known any different!
That's good sh*t to know though, looking forward to the change! :)
You can get a magic-tree one... I've got one in mine, but it's long since worn off and was in before I bought it, so can't let you know if it's realistic or not!
Hey all,
I was asked to put this guide together after chatting in the 'Silver MK1' thread going on at the minute... it's a guide on refurbishing your alloy wheels, which I've recently done and it's worked!
Hope it's useful to some anyway! Here goes.....
Tools you will need:
1 x...
gonna colour code mine next I think (now I've got into this spraying lark!) and obviously add the old skool wheels back on...other than that will leave as is - as Bart would say 'woah woah, let's not tamper with a classic!'
d'ya know what - I can do that!
Was wondering about doing that anyway - if I can do it, anyone can!
Leave it with me - I'll try and post it today, but if not I'm off away tomorrow so it'll have to be when I get back in a week...
Aye - took a while as it's my 1st time, but if doing something like that can be enjoyable, it was!
Just used a sh*tload of sandpaper and spray cans from H**fords...
