possible alarm fault
spoke to Renault dealer in Wakefield who said the only way around this problem was to buy the full remote control key at a cost of £180,not sure what to do now,maybe sell for spares!- bazbulldog

possible alarm fault
The keys for this car (x reg clio sport) had been lost so i ordered a new key from Renault,a plain key without remote but was assured by the Renault dealer that although it would not operate the central locking it would open the doors individually and work the ign to start the car which it does...- bazbulldog
