1*2 cup rear shocks nla?

Hi folks, I'm currently having to drive a wounded 182 with a now knocking rear shock.

My car has cup shocks and hubs fitted with cooksport springs which has been added aftermarket by a previous owner.

Tried all the usual places with no joy, spoke to my local Renault dealership and he thinks they might possibly be nla.

I've spotted these on ebay but not sure if they are any good?

Any other options?

Cheers.

I'm sure Kevin from kamracing mentioned earlier that cup shocks are on back order at the moment

Just noticed that is a different part number (E8200662257) from the ones I tried to buy (E8200681125).

Do the ones you linked fit the 182 also or just the 172?

Sorry for all the daft questions, I'm completely new to these cars.

Rears are all the same as far as im aware. Just front bolt spacing on 182 cup shocks is different

As far as I'm aware the rear 182 and 182 cup shocks are different. I think the 182 cup shocks are harder/stiffer.

Just about to post a set of 172 cup rears in the for sale section! Thought they were all still readily available though!

I’m in the same boat, is there any update on stock arriving or recommendations for an aftermarket alternative?

First week in May at the earliest was the last I heard.
I have fitted a good used set as a temporary stop gap to keep me mobile.
Not sure on the aftermarket alternative mate.

I see that the Renault branded 172 Cup front struts are manufactured by KYB.

Given that KYB rear dampers are readily available for the 1*2 it would be interesting to see which (if any) of them have the same compression and rebound rates as the Renault branded Cup rear dampers.

Would need to be done on a shock dyno obviously.
