Im getting the k-tec big brake kit soon and was wondering if anyones done the same job? Id like to know if the bigger brakes will confuse the brake bias and anti lock?

Cheers

Yes they probably will!!

(do you really expect sensible replys?)

PS: Why? You do not need stupidly powerful brakes on your car.

Then save your pennies for a better car with better brakes

Why not make your car have better brakes then the better car?

And whats to say his car isnt better? Better is subjective.. "higher models" arnt always better..

better brakes increases performance of any car relatively speaking cos in a driving or racing situation the guy (or girl) with better brakes can go into corners faster breaking much later.

How much is the ktec kit? Front disc upgrade I take it???

Do you really need the big brake conversion though?

Why dont you just go for the Fast Road Kit, Less work Maintenance and Money all round, Then theres your Insurance?

lets face it

the 1.2 16v was never intended as a performance model, and i dont think it ever will

the brakes on the 1.2 16v are more than adequate for what they are required to do, granted, after 5 laps of rockingham speedway they had started to fade, but they were still working

i can appreciate people wanting to modify their cars to a certain degree, but surely the brakes would be one of the last things that would require doing, even if it is just a case of swapping for some fast road pads and disks

be honest rob, will you ever require the stopping power of the big brake kit?

unless you drive round like a complete loon and are always thrashing sh|t out of your car there really is no need for the overkill

on the other hand, it is your money and do what makes you feel happy
