seem the big lump of plastic on top of the engine (ie the entire inlet manifold)
you have to remove the entire thing

Cheers guys....why is the 172 engine a piece of cake to get to the throttle body, but the 1.2s aren't!
Bugger, looks like I'm gonna have to make it into quite a job!
Just crappy design.
They revised this in the 1.2 16v 2004+ models when the engine got revised and throttle body moved to a better location.
Assume its faulty, or very dirty hence you wanting to clean it?
My old one has a paper clip wedged in it from the factory!! and was filthy as anything....
