17" or 15" on MK1

should i fit 205/17/40's to my clio or just 195/15/45's, i know the 17" will look nicer but the ride will be s**t? i travel down a number of country roads and i dont want to to rub. :rasp:

17's DONT look nice at all on Mk1's IMO.

i have run up to 18's in the past, and all this about about ruining handling is bo**ocks. mainly due to fact the roads are so bad now you cant tell any difference. andy way when i had 18's on, there was no rubbing, and you could still have a good blast down country roads.
