172 upper inlet manifold on a 182 head

Hi, I am swapping the engine on my 172 cup with a 182 engine but will need to transfer the lower inlet manifold as the 182 engine I bought didn't come with it. It did come with the 182 upper inlet manifold though.

Looking at the two engines, I can see the breather hole has been blocked off on the 182 head.

Should I use the 172 upper inlet manifold or the one from the 182? As I can't see a visible difference other than a small breather pipe on the side of the 182 one.

Thanks mate, the 182 engine is definitely going in along with the RS stamped lower inlet from my 172 cup.

Will the 182 upper inlet have any benefits over the 172 one? Or will it just fit better

To mix and match upper I lets they need modifying so saves messing round.
