Its basically a simple resistor that fools the IAT sensor and makes the car run as though it is colder, so advances the timing and increases the fuelling...

Dont bother!

yep a load of crap, and it really pisses me off when on ebay this keeps appearing clogging the screen up, its under all the autmotive section, really annoying since its crap. There another one that full the ECU into advanceing the timing, which is really daft and is jmoreas likely to leave you pinking (or worse still destroying a piston) than it is going to give you power.

Why not pay £7.98 and get a 40bhp increase!
