Did you quote the original date on the form then?
did you get 2 years from that date or 2 years extra from the date you sent in the form? ie 11 months extra free.
you get 2 years on top of the 1yr you get with it, so i have 3yrs from date of purchase and yes, i did tell them my original purchase date, from the serial number they would be able to tell it was a launch console anyway.
I got the letter through confirming the other day, came from america i think and includes a special number to call to get better service supposedly.
Was well worth the money, especially as it was cheaper when launched so my warranty leaflet showed a cheaper price and I expected them to charge me the more expensive amount seeing as i had left it 11 months but they didn't, just the cheaper price so i was quite impressed.
There is no other way to get the warranty other then filling in that form from the box, you can't ring up and get it, trust me, i tried every way to do that. I think in the early days you might have been able to but it was different back then, 360's were being turned around in a matter of a couple of days, not so now though, too many goign wrong lol
Anyway, mine died 2 days after the original warranty ran out and I hadn't heard off the warranty team (took about 3 months for the warranty info to come through) so i checked my credit card and the amount had been taken off it so i knew they had honoured it. I also included a letter in my warranty card to ask them to honour it so i reckon that helped.
