No reason why its not possible. Just a late registration by a dealer.

Can well be there loads of late reg cars either dealership cars which were on trade plates or not sold etc.

My mum & dad went to look at an 02 reg exclusive a while back, that was at Renault Ilford, it was probably the same car.

I've seen the other way round too, mk2 phase 2 clios (normal ones) on x reg plates etc.
