I just need a kind person to pop out to their Clio and look up at the interior courtesy light. My question is as follows... does the map reading half of the unit sit over the passenger or the driver side?? Seems a silly question I know but I have just bought myself a replacement unit and it only seems to fit so the map light is over the driver, is this right?? Could it be from a left hand drive car, although it says 1.2 16v car 52 plate.

Cheers for the help peeps ;)

Well not if hes driving, would of thought that the map light is for the passenger to read it whilst driving to avoid turning on the full light.

thats ok unless you havnt got a passenger, then you would need to pull up and use the map light, the light also reaches the passenger side too (if you got the swivel one

The cars are french and in france the driver sits on the other side of the car. Have you noticed the wipers go up and down for the passenger?

Yes, as I said in my original post about it coming from a left hand car. Would of thought Renault would swap the light round for right hand drive. Hardly a major task, took me all of 5 mins! lol!

EvilJohn...I bought it off ebay, set me back £25!!!!
