Same location nearly a year on to the day, replacement for the M3 CSL.

The Car

My second porsche 997 in a week!! Joined this time by my Kosovan Friend who from heronin is called Kristian;) Some of you may recall the backdrop where the tag team detailed an M3 CSL exactly a year ago to the day!

Paintwork Evaluation

Required a heavy clay due to iron filing fallout, looks to have been stored near a railway line at some point in its life - check the bottom gallery! More severe swirls than the turbo I detailed and numerous random scratches. Paintwork was medium to hard rather than outwardly Jack Bauer like some Porsche paintwork can be.

Buff work guys - which wax did you use then?

I used my PC today and considering it was my first time it came up a treat... ran out of time before waxing but will do that next week.

And all my street think I am insane for spending an entire day cleaning an already shiny car... which is nice!:D

Top work guys, I think this surpasses the M3 CSL that you did before even though that was very good as well.

Any idea what colour that actually is called?

Lovely work!

Did Lusty make a surprise appearance and complete the job with his famous 'Butter Wax'?

  106 GTi
All that 'Bling' is in the polishing Lusty, Wax adds very little over a properly polished surface.

But - No Butter Wet shite was used in this detail.

  106 GTi
The wax added very little to the look, as ever the main bulk of the finish was down to the polish.

The Glasur was one of the easyist Zymols I have found to apply, but that may be down to Mark's leaving it under the halogen to warm trick!

Yeh I know what you mean about polishing... I did mine with the Intensive Polish then the Final Finish (cut grade 2 version) and followed that up with Sonus Paint Cleaner then Chemical Guys Body Blitz sealant. But, as in something from a comedy film, I stepped out my door today to find the car riddled with bird s**t!!!

NOT HAPPY - although think got it all off with a damp cloth then mf towel before work. Will have a better look at it again.

Anyway - good work!

Surprised you dont get yourself arrested for crack dealing, Butter's infatuation with shooting your rear is getting worrying!

  106 GTi
LOL - He shot something in there at one point - that is the truth not a lye, was cold and wet - luckily was not something he produced himself I hope!

He's just lulling you into a sense of false security. It wont be long before its hot lurpack then a rogering over the wing trapped under his pie and beer filled little pot belly!!

  106 GTi
That what you call it now is it IPA ? Sure it was not BLJ ?

Luckily it did not get there !
