Abs sensor problem

So basically I've teies to remove the abs sensor on my 172 and have broken the sensor in the hub so I've tried to knock it through which worked to remove the centre metal part of the old sensor leaving the outer platic case inside the hub and made a mess of the under side of where the sensor would sit into the hub uncovering some copper mesh I'm guessing that shouldn't be the case and fear that it's going to need a replacement hub any body else had this problem Also the new sensor looks a lot smaller that the one I'm trying to remove any help would be great cheers

They usually are pretty tight in there, sometimes breaking them is the only way

Just get a socket which is a snug fit in the hole and smash it out, if that doesn't work get a screwdriver and tap it out bit by bit, you won't damage the hub.
