Advice needed on MOT coming up!!!

My first MOT is due this coming june and am wondering is it best to go back to the renault dealer to get it done or are they heavily over priced? I live in portsmouth so if anyone knows a good place to go i'd be well appricative. Plus does it matter that i've got a after market panel filter on (ITG)??????

go to a local garage for your MOT...
aftermarket filter will make no difference what-so-ever
