Does anyone on here have the aerocatches? If so how secure are the lockable ones or could it be as simple as ram a screw driver in a twist to get it undone.

As with any lock i'd say ramming in a screwdriver would probably work. More secure than leaving it open all the time with no lock, put it that way

but is it more secure than the bonnet opening mech that is there as std?

Less secure obviously seeing as they are easily accessed and the original is not. If you have no purpose for fitting them i.e you no longer have a slam panel, I suggest not to fit them tbh

thats the reason i was asking, i do not live in a nice area and therfor am worrying about the securness of my car.
