Hand control (stalk) ...Yes
Display .... No (unless you want to pay £60 for it to tell you you have an Alpine/Pioneer etc head unit.

why would it be £60 to have a stalk adapter.

you can get the complete kit for like £25-£30

Sorry to highjack the thread slightly but I thought it belonged here more than in a new thread.
Im also installing a new mp3 headunit and im wondering if the renault ISO adapter is standard or will I need to change the wiring or buy an adapter to fit it like I did with my old 93 corsa?
Also does anybody know of any mp3 SD/USB headunits that are compatible with the steering wheel controls? Obviously with an adapter aswel.

If you install an Alpine unit for instance, (I can highly recommend the Alp CDE9850Ri) Audioleads do a kit to enable the stalk to control the unit.

The basic kit is a PC99-X12 and then you need the adaptor for the type of H/U you are installing.
PC99-ALP for Alpine
PC99-BLA for Blaupunkt
etc...

You will need to remove the dash top to install this but that’s straightforward and well documented on this board. Audioleads also include information on how to do this, in the kit.

The display becomes redundant.
