Air flow to airbox

Question from a non technical person. If some turbos use intercoolers to cool the air before it enters the cylinder, is there any way to cool the air on a normally aspirated car before it enters either the airbox, or the cylinder? Any DIY tricks?

How about on a car with aircon running a stretch of the cold aircon piping round the inside of the airbox? :p - this aint a mods thats happening on mine by the way.

no

the only reason turbos have them is because when the turbo does the job the air is heated up about 3/4 times ambient the cooler drops it but it never achieved 100% efficiency (that would be ambient temp).
