Airport Issue.

Got an issue with airport, it keeps dropping all the time, like a few times a week. Turn Airport off and it won't turn back on, I have to restart the MBP.

It's done it for a while, SL and Lion, all up to date etc, but continues to do it.

Anyone got any ideas, before I confuse the christ out of myself with Google.

  RIP Dan
My iMac is like this Greg, it fcuks me off, a 1500 quid setup cant keep a wireless connection up.

Our 2 notebooks hanging on the same connection are fine.

Am getting very pissed off with Apple.

Mine had SL on for 1 day then I upgraded to Lion. Anyone else got any ideas??

Has anyone got any idea about this?

It's doing it every 10minutes or so now, going to book a Genius Apt for monday, but it's seriously pissing me off.

Close to the point of smashing the c*nt with a hammer.

I changed channel and it helped a bit.

It still drops and when it goes to sleep and I come back it works for a minute or so, then drops out. I have to switch wifi on and off, maybe 2 or 3 times. It then holds the connection until it goes to sleep again.

I am living with it now as I think it affects loads of people. As I said before my 2 notebooks are fine as is my mrs macbook.

Still think it should be fixed by Apple.

I find certain N routers at fault. Switching N off tends to fix the issue.

I think I have done that, will double check though, cheers.

edit it is set to G&B, it can be set to G only or B only?? any advice?

Made it very slow for some reason??

Gone back to G&B option.

Was talking to some boffin yesterday who said he thought it was something to do with AES encryption, i.e. if I had the option to use it. I don't as my router is old.

Mine's either a dodgy airport card, a faulty motherboard or software, so doing a full clean install at some point.

If not, then it's an £80 new Airport card.

Yup sounds like you need a new router

Mmmm I actually had a new router a couple of months ago from my BB provider, it would not allow anything on the nw to talk to each other. They could all connect to the net but not to each other, my iMac had the same problem, in fact it was a bit worse. So I binned it and grabbed this one out of storage.

The pc's and mrs macbook are 100% fine on it.
