Alarm systems

  ST

Anyone recommend a good alarm for around the £300 mark? Got a cat1 immobiliser in the car from factory.

P.s for a 2003 dynamique.

The stock ones good enough. Cobra do good ones which can be added to the normal alarm I belive. Why do you want extra protection? The cars overrated before you stick an alarm in there

Im getting a Toad system installed next week for £295. Im assured its a good alarm because (amongst other things) its installed behind the dash rather than under the bonnet...thats a 2 to 1 install, because I already have an immobiliser.

All UK spec cars come with alarms imports dont have them as standard so you need to get one installed for most insurance companies.

The alarm can be speced to any of the Clio range. It changes the security from a CAT 2 to a CAT 1 and cost me £300 I think. The dealership installed it themselves not from the dockside place that the normal 172/182/Cups get them fitted but its the same alarm.

Ive got your 2 PM and replied hope they made sence.

Yeah as edde says, its an import so I have to get an alarm fitted. It covers bonnet, boot and doors and has sensors as well - not sure about tilt, but I think so.

Its going to take the guy all day to install it anyway. At the moment its parked in the road outside the flat and I keep looking out of the window every five minutes!

The rest of the quotes I got for 2-to-1 alarms were around the £200 mark, but Im convinced the one Im getting is about the best of its type - unfortunately Clifford dont do 2-to-1s.
