Alienware???

Anyone delt with them before or have one of there laptops???

Seriously expensive pieces of kit. My mates trying to sell me his 6 month old one but I've read alot of great reviews about them. And also a few bad reviews.

Barron used to have a Alienware desktop PC it was a beast, he only just replaced it after 4/5 years of having it.

i had an alienware laptop.....3 years ago, it lasted me 2 years or so......in that time, it fell to bits 10+ times, components just stopping working, etc.....went back 8 or 9 times for repair.......i eventually gave up and bought a mac....

the main issue was crap battery, and dodgy power connection, which happened 4 times....its just on the floor being used as a doorstop for now!

Unlucky, the last company I worked for we had 2000 Dell Desktops and over 1000 laptops with very little failures (just stupid small things and the occassional power supply).

The company I work for now we use Dell exclusivly and in the year i've been there we have had one keyboard failure.

It's not just the case though - they put high end components in too.

Same as everything - some people prefer build your own, some people prefer off the shelf.

I would buy an Alienware, becuase well, its an Alienware. But I have a custom made PC with much better specs than most of the Alienwares and it looks just as if not better than your pic for about half the price. Alienwares are good if your into gaming like moi, but trust me, you can get better pc's for cheaper, and its worth shopping around. It like buying Nike trainers or summin, your paying for the name.

They are a nice bit of kit however you can easily build your own with the same spec if not better a lot cheaper.
