Alpine 9880R Ipod Problems

ive had my apline 9880R headunt in for awhile now and used my ipod via the cable the whole time and suffered no diffaculties til today

when i press the next button or put the headunuit onto mix mode for a playlist then it just keeps skiping tracks like it cant read them

any help/ ideas? ive just reset the ipod and ive also re-set the headunit which didnt seem to work it plays the songs aslong as you dont put it on mix mode or try and skip any its abit frustrating!

Not much experience with this kind of thing but have you tried the ipod on a different unit (e.g. one in halfords, with same lead/different lead) and a different ipod on your unit? It will help you ascertain exactly where the problem is... my guess is its just the randomness of electronics!

got it working now reset ipod again tryed on mates h/u worked ok plugged back into mine and worked good thankfully electronics are horrid sometimes!

Indeed i agree, electronics can be a serious pain in the ar5e!
