Alpine headunit not holding memory help help help

hello, just removed my alpine headunit from my 306 and put into my golf, it powers up fine but it will not hold its memory, ie tuning in radio then when i cut off the ignition and turn back on all the saved station have gone. What do i need to do???

Swap the red and yellow leads over on the wiring harness.

So put the red one into the yellow slot and the yellow one into the red slot.

try swapping the red/yellow leads over in the Alpine loom; apparently, some Frenchies are wired oddly - possible that the leads in the Alpine loom were swapped over to accomodate this? worked with mine anyway
