Hi, ive got a feeling my alternator is dying on my 1.2 16V, keeping in mind that the cars done just under 120,000 miles.
at idle if i put on say the heated rear windscreen then the revs drop slightly as if its under stress and the screen on the dash dims slightly. Also if I put the headlights on i get the revs dropping a little again.
now ive got plans for a 5 channel amp, front comps, rear speakers on the shelf and a sub and the last thing I want is my car cutting out because it cant supply the power to these.
If it is the alternator should I get a replacement Renault one or are there any reasonably priced up rated ones available?
