amping components



  1996 Clio Oasis 1.2
im going to buy a set of component speakers and want to amp them, but how many channels would my amp needs as there are main speakers and tweeters so would i need a seperate channel for each speaker?

2 channel, amp to crossover, then you connect mids and tweets to x over, if you want to go flash, then bi - wire ur comps,

give each speaker an amp channel of its own.

Yep a good 2chnl amp will start you off nicely :)

A 4chnnl amp will give you more options - typicaly allow you to use 1 channel per side for your comps (components) and use the other 2 channels "bridged" (as one) to run a sub if you wanted to add one.

Then if you wanted more power you can just add another amp to run the sub and have the existing 4channel running your components (2channels) of power per side
