....another just crashed thread

  Lots of Alfas

Last night was on way to pick mate up from airport and suddenly a fox ran across the road, slammed on brakes and tried to avoid it but road wasnt gritted and I span 90 degrees one way, then about 100 the other and finnally came to rest in the middle of the pavement having gone up a curb. Now i have one very curbed Turini, and the frame that holds the front wheel on is bent  & the drivers side wheel is about 3 cm out of alignment. I guess the lesson is if you see a animal in slippery conditions just go for it(unless its a cow). By the way the fox lived at my expense.

Mate id have slowed down as much as i could to prevent as much damage as possible then ploughed right into em, a bumper is cheaper to replace than an alloy and suspension components!

Hope ya get it all sorted mate!

Sick of bl**dy animals on the road!

Its easy to say, do this, do that - but at the exact time your natural instict is to swerve to avoid.

Cars can be fixed (mines living proof) Dave, lives cant....

No abs or esp, thing that annoys me most is it wasnt even in the countryside. Its where you would least likely to see an animal (industrial area, quite built up, outskirts of Hinckley).

this i think makes it clear to everyone that life is safer with foxhunting still legal. gets rid of the horrible things, and saves clio cups.

PREACH!! :D have to agree on this one

After living in the country for all my life ive come to the conclusion that if something runs out infront of you you should swerve, but dont brake. Seems to work better. Chances are the animal will stay where it is and braking is never enough to knock off the speed.

Oh and glad the fox was ok. Gives some Anus in a red jacket and excuse to blow into a stupid horn and ride around like a big fat fool following a pack of pumped up ill treated dogs.;)

ank you very much
