Another window problem......

My drivers window keeps going down by itself and I have no idea why. Every time I hear the relay click in the uch the window goes down. The switch works okay and motor seems to be okay wiring looks good with no corrosion. I have checked fuses and opened the uch and no water damage inside. Only way to stop it is to unplug the motor but you can still here the relay clicking.

The relay is soldered to the board so is it worth having a go or is it something else? I have searched on here and other forums with no luck so any help is greatly appreciated.

A way to test it if you can get a UCH with the same part number, start the car on your original uch, then with the engine running, unplug and plug in a replacement.. you can then test all functions (bar immobiliser and remote central locking) with the engine running.

Dont wonder too far from home without taking your original UCH, depending on the engine ecu.. you may not get more than a few seconds to restart the engine if you stall.

Thanks for the idea, after speaking to a couple Renault dealers they said it could be three things, the motor, the wiring or the uch. Now the motor is unplugged and relay still going so can't be that, could be the wiring or uch then :( the uch is a big expense so don't want to spend on it if it isn't the problem and an hour at Renault would be over £100.

Another problem which drives me mad is when I accelerate the rear speaker makes a crackling noise for a second or so then goes, checked the wiring today and replaced a section still doing it. Only difference in audio is an Alpine head unit.
