Is there any features that NOD32 doesn't have that may be useful ?

Does it block spyware & adware etc?

What does AVG do? I had Norton on my Acer laptop but it was f*cking sh*t. Kept crashing and stuff. Uninstalled and installed McAfee which seems ok. So is the general consensus that McAfee is sh*t too?

Best Anti Virus software imo is Kaspersky, do a quick search online and most of the security websites with reviews say it's ahead of all the others for detection %, update frequency, system resources and scanning time, also comes with Anti Spyware that is almost as good as Webroot's Spysweeper
If you get the Kaspersky Internet security suite it also comes with a good software firewall and various other utils

I recently had various probs and Kaspersky along with Spysweeper found loads of things that AVG, Avast, A2squared, Adaware, Norton, McAfee didn't have a clue about

Still have hardware SPI firewall as well though

Virus is approx £15 PCWORLD

Full suite £25 PCWORLD

Free products I'd use Avast anti-virus with AVG anti-spyware, the new Adaware has a very poor detection rate, but to be honest after my recent nightmare problems I'm not touching anything other than Kaspersky and Webroot, The sheer number of issues that no less than 7 other products combined (all fully upto date) didn't pick up, was unbelievable
