Any Alarm fitters in here?

The cobra alarm on my car has packed up, its completely immobilised, how can i get it out? i have a tear drop shaped fob and 2 round key things, i figure it must be wired into the ignition wires somehow? i get nothing at all with the key turned, normally you would then press a button on the fob and it would give you the lights on the dash and you can start the car. How can i get the car going?
I was thinking the wires would go into the ignition barrell somewhere and all i have to do is bridge the gap where the alarm goes in ? would need to figure that all out though :|

Also, when the fob wasnt working i pulled the wires out of the siren, i then got a new battery for the fob and the led init started working again, but it still wont un immobilise the car, is it possible that pulling the wires from the siren would make it not work? looks like maybe 30 wires going into it ?? the connected is now completely ruined though!

The alarm has nothing to do with the immobiliser
It literally takes the signal of doors being locked/unlocked and then makes a noise if one of the sensors are tripped when the doors are locked.

I take it this is the cobra alarm fitted as standard to all 172/182s?
