any one know the ratio of a 1,2 box or the top end roughly

cant seem to find a ration chart anywere has any one fitted a 1.2 box in there 172 if so whats there top speed, and is there another box people seem to fit instead of the standard 172 box

Probably easier to keep a 1*2 box surely.

Some people have fitted the dci box for the slightly (iirc) taller gearing

As said in your other thread. Just remove and rebuild your jc5 box.

Yep the 1.2 box you found maybe cheap. But if it was any good renault would have put a 1.2 box in to save pennies.

Buycheap buy twice. Do you do 150 on a regular basis?

a 172 box has trouble with the power from a 172 engine.....

How long do you think the 1.2 box will last until it has to come out??
not too long would be my bet....

yeh i do 150 from time to time hit it then back off never hold it out for more then a minute,

and rebuilding any 172 box will be a good 250plus so thats alot more then 50 pounds plus the casing has a crack so would be pointless
